People Who Influence Me: Sade Powers & Ellen Wanjiru
We are always surrounded by greatness if we choose to recognize it and appreciate our connections. I do believe that everything happens for a reason. I may not know exactly what the reason is sometimes, yet, I am sure that I am suppose to learn something from each situation, good or bad, that I encounter.
Like most of us on facebook we are connected through our friends, family, business associates, co-workers and other networks. I am constantly inspired and influenced by people who are connected to me on facebook. Sometimes I take out the time to know people better virtually with the hopes that one day we will meet in a more professional networking environment. Here are a couple of people who influence and inspire me through their work online. I hope you, too, will choose to connect with these wonderful people and share them with your connections. You never know who or when, somebody may relate to them and/or need their services.
First, I'd like to share Sade Powers. She is known as a business and life mentor, internet marketing expert and business coach. Her facebook updates share inspirational qoutes that are thought provoking and constant reminders from famous accomplished individuals on how to become more successful on life's wealth journey. It reminded me of how many failures we must go through to get to our ultimate prize. On life's wealth journey we will encounter failure. Fortunately, failure is not a noun it is a verb, so failure is something we can learn from when it happens in our own lives. We do not have to be labeled as a failure. We can choose to take the lessons from our mistakes and keep moving forward until we win.

Speaking of powerful women, Id like to share one woman who has connected with me on life's wealth journey. I believe that our journey in life is most important because one day we will no longer be here in the flesh, what will our legacy be. Who we touch, and those who touch us even in the smallest way allow us to expand our inner beings if we allow it to happen. It is artistic, a magical experience.

How To Determine What You Want In Life
What do you really want in life?
Most people don’t discover what they want in life until it’s time to die – and that’s a shame.
Most people spend the best years of their lives watching television or doing things they dislike. An author described humanity by saying, “Most people die at twenty and are buried at eighty.” Are you one of the living zombies?
What do you really want in life?
Some people struggle in answering such question. When asked what they want or what their goals in life are, many are unsure. They dillydally in their decision, hardly giving any thought about what they want in life. People without definite goals are letting time pass them by. Are you one of these people?
If you are undecided about what you want out of life, do not worry. There are many ways of discovering your purpose in life.
To discover what you want in life, try looking deep into your heart. Oftentimes, people are ruled by logic. People live by what they think they should be or by what others like them to be. The discovery process is the perfect time to listen to your heart. What your heart desires comes from the whispers of your authentic self. Your authentic self is the real you.
Listen to your heart to be able to listen to your authentic self. What your heart says usually feels right. What your heart desires is what you usually love to do and this represents your passion. Anything done with passion is like play where the task is accomplished without hesitation. You pour out your very best and feel no pressure or resistance.
You will totally enjoy doing things that are your passion. Setbacks, difficulties, and obstacles will make it more challenging, but should not deter you from pursuing your goals. Naturally, there may be barriers that may prevent you from reaching your goal, but your heart’s desire will find ways to overcome these barriers so that you may ultimately get what you want in life. Remember this: the universe supports people who are pursuing their passion and those who are pursuing their destiny.
However, this does not mean that you don’t use your head. People are born with both the mind and heart. Your duty is to live your best life and be in harmony with your mind and heart. The poet Rumi wisely said, “Live completely in the head and you cannot feel the breath and rhythm of life. Live completely in the heart and you may find yourself acting like a love-struck fool with poor judgment and discipline. It’s all a fine balance - the head and heart must forge a lifetime partnership if one wants to live a beautiful life.”
Listen to your instinct. Part of human nature is the mysterious and spontaneous reaction on things. Often times, these are called instincts. Your authentic self communicates with you and guides you via instincts. Instincts are those gentle nudges that urge you to act and follow a certain path. Your role then is to listen attentively.
Often times, we listen to what others say and allow them to run our lives. Parents often do this to their children. “We come from a family of doctors, so my son must also be a doctor.” How often do we hear this from parents who have good intentions for their children? Parents unconsciously block the true expression of their child’s real self and calling. Friends and critics will discourage you and point out the impossibility of your dream. Before heeding their advice, evaluate the accomplishments of the critics. Did they achieve theirs dreams? Do they dream big at all?
Remember, it is your destiny that is in line, not theirs. It doesn’t mean, though, that you will not listen to what other people say. Hear them out just the same. But the final decision should be yours.
There is only thing to remember: Every person, to live truly and greatly, must define how he wants to live and what his brightest life will look like. Listen to your instincts and follow your heart’s desire. You will never go wrong. Dont believe me. Do it for yourself.

Being in the affiliate marketing business is not that hard now with the internet at your disposable. It is much easier now compared to the days when people have to make use of the telephones and other mediums of information just to get the latest updates on the way their program is coming along.
So with technology at hand, and assuming that the affiliate is working from home, a day in his or her life would sound something like this…
Upon waking up and after having breakfast, the computer is turned on to check out new developments in the network. As far as the marketer is concerned there might be new things to update and statistics to keep track on.
The site design has to be revised. The marketer knows that a well-designed site can increase sign ups from visitors. It can also help in the affiliate’s conversion rates.
That done, it is time to submit the affiliate program to directories that lists affiliate programs. These directories are means to attract people in joining your affiliate program. A sure way of promoting the affiliate program.
Time to track down the sales you are getting from your affiliates fairly and accurately. There are phone orders and mails to track down. See if they are new clients checking the products out. Noting down the contact information that might be a viable source in the future.
There are lots of resources to sort out. Ads, banners, button ads and sample recommendations to give out because the marketer knows that this is one way of ensuring more sales. Best to stay visible and accessible too.
The affiliate marketer remembered that there are questions to answer from the visitors. This has to be done quickly. Nothing can turn off a customer than an unanswered email.

Harmonizing Sales and Sponsoring
Answer this question for me. Do you know how to row a boat or have you ever watched someone row a boat before? Yes, I said…row a boat. If your answer is yes to this question, then let me congratulate you. Why!? Because you also possess one of the greatest skills to building a prosperous Direct Sales business. Now that the light bulb is on. Let me explain.
Building your business the “intelligent” way is very similar to rowing a boat. First, when rowing a boat, it is vitally important that you have both oars in the water and you must row them simultaneously. If you only row one oar at a time what happens? You will spend yourself into dizzy circle frenzy, no matter how fast you row. The connection between rowing a boat and growing your business.
It is simple. You must have the oars of both sales and sponsoring at work simultaneously to prevent going in circles. By having them both working together in your business you will definitely make progress toward your ultimate destination of goals.
Secondly, when rowing, the speed of the boat is determined by how strong the person is doing the rowing. Twitter 5 Day Challenge COMPLETED
Update for 5 Day Challenge
This is the last post for the 5 day challenge. I am happy to say I completed all twitter task as assigned which increased followers from 400 to over 1000 in less than a week. The task involved going to www.wefollow.com to find targeted tweeters to follow. In return they also followed me. Twitter allows you to add 10 percent of your current followers to your account daily. For example if you have 400 you can add 40 a day without being flagged. This number increases over time. It only took about 5-10 minutes to complete this task daily.
The second twitter task was tweeting interesting tweets which I did by sharing quotes, my mentors information, and retweeting other interesting information from people I am following, and holding conversations with fellow tweeters. Since I use www.socialoomph.com it helped me to set up some of the tweets on a automated basis without having to sit in front of the computer all day doing twitter. I like tweeting but I do own other businesses that have daily task done too.
Next I went to my followers who look intersting to find new people to follow. One thing I learned is that not everybody following people I like will follow me. I'm cool with that, my information should be for everybody but some people are just to lazy to do the work it takes to be successful. So I just keep moving to more of the positive people that are showing results.
Other benefits included increasing my online income by having people join some of my programs. I was inspired to update my blog more often to have more interesting content for readers. After spending more time on my blog I was able to figure out how to add sponsored links for advertising. Another benefit I was able to study www.socialoomph.com to learn how to tweet better and more often.
So the 5 day challenge went pretty well. I have so much more I want to accomplish. I will keep you posted on the next challenge. Send any questions to me or just tweet me @magiccashlady.

What I'm about to tell you will make you afraid.
Probably very afraid. But dont be! Take the action.

Listen carefully: A woman living in downtown Ontario, Canada came out of her house and saw 3 old men with long white beards sitting in her front yard.
She did not recognize them.
She said "I don't think I know you, but you must be hungry. Please come in and have something to eat."
"Is the man of the house home?" they asked.
"No", she replied. "He's out."
"Then we cannot come in", they replied.
In the evening when her husband came home, she told him what had happened.
"Go tell them I am home and invite them in!�
The woman went out and invited the men in.
"We do not go into a house together," they replied.
"Why is that?" she asked.
One of the old men explained: "His name is Wealth," he said pointing to one of his friends, and said pointing to another one, "He is Success, and I am Love." Then he added, "Now go in and discuss with your husband which one of us you want in your home."
The woman went in and told her husband what was said.
Her husband was overjoyed. "How nice!!� he said. "Since that's the case, let's invite Wealth. Let him come and fill our home with wealth!"
His wife disagreed. "My dear, why don't we invite Success?"
Their daughter was listening from the other corner of the house. She jumped in with her own suggestion: "Would it not be better to invite Love? Our home will then be filled with love!"
"Let us heed our daughter's advice," said the husband to his wife.
"Go out and invite Love to be our guest."
The woman went out and asked the 3 old men, "Which one of you is Love? Please come in and be our guest."
Love got up and started walking toward the house. The other 2 also got up and followed him. Surprised, the lady asked Wealth and Success: "I only invited Love, why are you coming in?"
The old men replied together: "If you had invited Wealth or Success, the other two of us would've stayed out, but since you invited Love, wherever he goes, we go with him. Wherever there is Love, there is also Wealth and Success!"

3rd day of twitter challenge.
3rd day of twitter challenge.
I am so happy to report the 5 day twitter challenge is going great. I know that I do better when the challenges are short and sweet. So I would rather do 6 sets of 5 day challenges to meet my 30 day goal. It just works better for me. As I am doing the challange other task that I have to do are getting done. The fact is I CAN do it. I thought being a tweeter would require more time than I had to give. However, I am happy to report that it is quite rewarding. My list is growing, I am making more money from some of the tweets and most importantly I meeting ALOT of people that like my tweets and ALOT of HIGH Quality tweeters and affiliate marketers. I will keep you posted on how it is going from here. Thankfully, so far so good.

Tired Of The Old School Network Marketing Techniques?
Are you tired of the old school network marketing techniques? You know the 3 foot rule, hanging flyers, bugging your family and friends, and holding hotel meetings.
I know that when I first joined my first network marketing company, I was told to use these same techniques. I was told to make a list of 100 people that I knew and basically call every one of them to ask and see if they would be interested in making some extra money.
I was only faced with questions I wasn't able to answer, getting hung up on, and faced with nothing but rejection.

Now I was out of money, and had nothing to show for it.
